The "Beaver" is a long-range, low-level "kamikaze-style" attack drone designed, developed, and manufactured by the nation of Ukraine. The unmanned aircraft was revealed in July of 2023 and has been actively featured in direct strikes by Ukraine against targets within Russia (including Moscow itself) during the latter half of July 2023 with mixed results.

As a kamikaze, or suicidal, drone aircraft, the UAV is designed as a low-cost, wholly-dispensable battlefield asset. The entire aircraft is used up in the attack process which involves a fair amount of explosives as the payload / war load. The propeller-driven function of the drone also provides for low audible operations, allowing for an element of surprise, while the relatively compact dimensions and low-and-slow flight envelope also give the Beaver an in-built capability against airborne radar and ground-based air defense guns / interception solutions.

The aircraft is designed with a rounded fuselage sporting straight canards near the nose and straight mainplanes aft of midships. From what can be seen, there are no vertical planes of any sort in the design. The conventional gas-fueled engine is installed at the rear of the fuselage in pusher arrangement, driving a two-bladed propeller unit. A wheeled, fixed tricycle undercarriage is featured for ground running actions.

Reportedly, the system can operate to ranges between 550 and 650 miles, giving the drone good 'legs' over the battlefield.
