The SkyRanger is a small, man-portable Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Intelligence-Surveillance-Reconnaissance (ISR) unmanned aircraft system manufactured by Teledyne FLIR out of Waterloo, Ontario. The drone is of quadcopter design and relatively lightweight, making it man-portable. Lift props are held outboard on support arms and the entire unit sits on a simple four-point landing assembly. The camera / optics set is positioned under the unit allowing for unfettered views of the terrain around and below the drone.

Beyond its obvious military value, the drone can be effective in border control, general security, and industry roles.

The primary marketed model is the SkyRanger "R70".

SkyRangers are constructed with a carbon fiber and magnesium structure. The Payload Development Kit (PDK) is of open architecture design to broaden market appeal and over-battlefield / industry roles. Internally, the system has a semi-autonomous navigation system based in GPS and the payload (7.7lb maximum) is limited to real-time cameras (EO IR Mk.II) - though in-the-field modifications to the UAV can make it a direct-attack platform if pressed during wartime.

Operations of the unit can reach up to 15,000 feet of altitude while flying at speeds of 56 miles-per-hour.
