Details for the Kosovo Campaign Medal
Date Authorized: May 3rd, 2000
Ribbon Identification Colors: blue; red; white
Visual Description (Ribbon):
Thick stripe of blue followed by a thin stripe of red; white stripe at center, then thin blue stripe then thick red stripe.
Visual Description (Medal):
FRONT: Circular medal of bronze; grain wreath REVERSE: Kosovo Province outline with NATO star below it; both are ringed with the inscription of "In Defense of Humanity".
Award Criteria:
Recipients must have served in direct support of the operations as related to the Kosovo Conflict in both offensive or defensive capacities.
